Glenaven Country Escape is a secluded homestead nestled in the Australian bush of South East Queensland. Just two hours from Brisbane and under an hour from Toowoomba, it offers privacy, exclusivity, and the space to truly unwind.
Accommodating up to 18 guests, Glenaven is ideal for intimate country weddings, group getaways, family reunions, milestone celebrations, and corporate retreats. Glenaven is a place where connection comes naturally and memories are made with ease.
About the property
The Homestead features seven beautifully appointed rooms offering comfort and space for every guest. Each room has its own ensuite, walk-in robe, and television.
Set across 72 acres of timbered bushland, the property is home to an ancient 85-metre gorge, striking rock formations, walking trails, creeks, and native wildlife. Days at Glenaven can be spent exploring at your own pace, and evenings are best enjoyed with sunset views, a quiet drink at the bar, and stories shared around the campfire.
Your hosts
In early 2023 Wes and Nenie bought ‘Glenaven Country Escape’ (formerly known as Tweeters), after looking for a place that would seamlessly blend their love for the Australian bush with their experience in Event hire.
Our vision is to offer a venue where guests can create their own special occasions without time pressures, allowing them to slow down and enjoy each moment.

- Turn right onto New England Hwy for 400m
- Turn left onto Djuan Road (bitumen) for 900m
- Turn left onto Kruger Road (gravel) for 1.5 klms
- Can turn left on the New England Hwy (bitumen) for 900m back to Glenaven.
Green Trail – Total 9.3 kms
- Turn right onto New England Hwy (bitumen) for 1.1klms
- Turn right onto Finch Road (gravel) for 700m
- Turn left onto Perina Road (gravel) for 800m
- Cross New England Hwy to Old Highway Road (gravel) for 700m
- Can go straight ahead onto Mountain Camp Road (gravel) for 600m then right onto New England Hwy (bitumen) 2 klms back to Glenaven.
Orange Trail -Total 18.2 kms
- Turn right onto Mountain Camp Road (gravel) for 2.3 klms
- Turn left onto Jones Gully Road (gravel) for 4.5 klms
- Turn left onto Tigell Road (gravel) for 900m
- Turn left onto Voll Road (gravel) for 2.3 klms
- Turn right onto New England Hwy (bitumen) for 2 klms back to Glenaven.
