Glenaven Country Escape is a luxury holiday farmhouse hidden among the Australian bush. Enjoy the privacy and exclusive use of the property during your stay. The Homestead caters for up to 16 people which is perfect for large groups & families seeking an unforgettable weekend escape. Our property is the perfect choice for group getaways, family reunions, birthday gatherings, hens and bucks parties, company retreats and intimate country style weddings.
Conveniently located on the New England Highway, the property is 14km out of Crows Nest, 37km South of Cooyar, 57km North of Toowoomba city and 162km West of Brisbane. It has all weather easy access for all types of vehicles.
The Property
The farmhouse boasts 6 rooms that can accommodate up to 16 guests. Each room is equipped with its own ensuite, walk-in robe and TV. This ensures everyone is able to have their own space should the need arise. Disabled facilities/room are also available.
Nestled on an idyllic heavily timbered 72 acres, this retreat offers a range of natural attractions including an ancient 85m deep gorge with stunning time-worn rock formations. Guests can explore numerous walking tracks, discover creeks and small caves, as well as abundant wildlife and native flora. This natural haven provides the perfect opportunity to immerse oneself in nature, unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Finish your days enjoying a drink watching the sun go down at the Sunset bar followed by sharing a few stories around the camp fire.

In early 2023 Wes and Nenie bought ‘Glenaven Country Escape’ (formerly known as Tweeters), after looking for a place that would seamlessly blend their love for the Australian bush with their experience in Event hire.
Our vision is to offer a venue where guests can create their own special occasions without time pressures, allowing them to slow down and enjoy each moment.

Turn left onto Djuan Road (bitumen) for 900m
Turn left onto Kruger Road (gravel) for 1.5 klms
Can turn left on the New England Hwy (bitumen) for 900m back to Glenaven.
Green Trail – Total 9.3 kms
OR turn right onto New England Hwy (bitumen) for 1.1klms
Turn right onto Finch Road (gravel) for 700m
Turn left onto Perina Road (gravel) for 800m
Cross New England Hwy to Old Highway Road (gravel) for 700m
Can go straight ahead onto Mountain Camp Road (gravel) for 600m then right onto New England Hwy (bitumen) 2 klms back to Glenaven.
Orange Trail -Total 18.2 kms
OR turn right onto Mountain Camp Road (gravel) for 2.3 klms
Turn left onto Jones Gully Road (gravel) for 4.5 klms
Turn left onto Tigell Road (gravel) for 900m
Turn left onto Voll Road (gravel) for 2.3 klms
Turn right onto New England Hwy (bitumen) for 2 klms back to Glenaven.
